BHUMIKA MANDIR
This historic temple is situated about 2 miles away from the road that leads to
‘Ponthal’. Story from this, The very place makes a connection of the appearance
of Goddess in Kaliyuga an era full of moral and spiritual corruption in the
world. It was told about 700 year’s back the Goddess gave a
Darshan to Sridhar in the form of a teen-aged girl. This very
transcendental young girl left for putting an end to the atrocities of the
demon ‘Bhairav’.
DEVAMAI
It is situated about 43 kms distance from Jammu on the way to
Katra, near village Numai. There is a pathway leading from Numai to
Devamai. This place is considered to be the second place of visit in the
pilgrimage. In this place one finds the deity of Goddess
Vaishnavdevi and a Trishul. During the earlier days of when people used
to undertake the entire journey on foot from Jammu, this place used to be very
busy with jam-packed pilgrims.
