Helicopter Services at Vaishanavdevi Shrine
Helicopter services are from Jammu to Sanjhichat and Katra to Sanjichat is
available for the potential travelers who prefer air to road transport. Couples
of flight operates from Jammu to Katra and as well as five operates from Katra
to the Vaishanavdevi shrine six days a week except Monday. It takes 20 minutes
from Jammu to Sanjichat and about 10 minutes from Katra to Sanjichat.
Booking counters are available nearby the Katra bus stand. The copters takes
off from Shirli Check Post about 2 kms away from Katra bus stand, which
is easily reached by taxi. The helicopters are to board only five persons at a
time. Priority are given to the people who reserve through advance booking.
Accommodation also could be booked in advance for convenience. Visitors
can travels by Palki who are physically challenged or unfit to take the stroll
in the high altitude of Hills.
